Rampart is a 1990 arcade-style strategy game developed by Atari Games and released for the Atari Lynx handheld console. It's a direct descendant of the classic arcade game of the same name.  Gameplay involves controlling a fortress and using cannons to defend against waves of attacking enemies. The goal is to survive as long as possible and earn points by destroying enemy formations.  The Atari Lynx version maintains the core gameplay loop of the original but is adapted to the handheld system.  Atari, known for its significant contributions to the video game industry, published the title.
